| Artist’s Biography | : | Purnamwulan, founded in 1993 in Ipoh, Perak by Wulan Aavimarga (also known as Sang Hyangwulan/Sang Wulan), serves as both the vocalist and a member of the Ipoh-based Dark Shadow Metal band, Hayagriva, while simultaneously being part of Purnamwulan’s line-up. The band introduces a unique concept they call “Java Celestial Ethos Metal,” deeply rooted in their passion for Malay music, myths, and Javanese culture. This influence is reflected in their distinctive characters, as well as in their lyrics and songs, which are strongly imbued with Javanese elements. |
