| Artist’s Biography | : | Shizuka Benaman is a Malaysian band from Ipoh, Perak, formed in 1996 by a group of working-class, self-taught musicians. The band consists of Faizal (vocalist), Azam (guitarist and backing vocalist), Bahabruzzi (lead guitarist), Ijan (bass guitarist), and their newest member, Wakyus (drummer). Originally starting as a three-piece band during their school days, they draw inspiration from a variety of music they grew up listening to. The name “Shizuka” means “peace” in Japanese, while “Ben Aman” translates to “Peace Band” in Malay, reflecting their harmonious and unifying approach to music. Over the years, Shizuka Benaman has gained a dedicated fan base and performed across the country. |
