| Artist’s Biography | : | Datuk Irwan Shah Abdullah, also known as DJ Dave, was born on February 14, 1948, in Kuala Kubu Bharu, a town in Malaysia’s Hulu Selangor District. He was raised at Tanjung Malim, which is located just across the state border in Perak. He had his early schooling in Kampar, Perak, then went on to attend the Methodist English School in Tanjung Malim for secondary education. DJ Dave has recorded over 40 CDs in his career and was one of the first local artists to get a Datukship, a Malaysian honorific title that recognizes his accomplishments and contributions to the arts. |
