Artist’s Biography | : | Ayati Tasrip, born in 1959 in Kuala Kangsar, Perak, is a Malaysian singer who began her music career in 1976. After finishing secondary school, she worked in a factory before entering and winning a singing competition, which led her to move to Kuala Lumpur and join the Army Orchestra (Orkestra Tentera Darat). She gained recognition after placing third in the Bintang RTM competition in 1986 and released her debut album Di Mata Cinta in 1991 under the label Suara Cipta Sempurna. She followed up with several albums, including Khazanah Dari Malaya, Impiana, and Cinta Dangdut, the latter featuring a hit that reached the semifinals of Muzik Muzik 1995. |
