Ipoh Music Symposium (IMS) 2024, titled “Ritma Atas Puisi: Lagu Rap dan Budaya Hip-Hop,” is an annual event organized by PORT. The 2024 edition, scheduled for 11th to 12th October 2024, will centre on Rap music and Hip-Hop culture, examining their social, political, historical, and economic significance in Malaysia. The symposium will include presentations from experts and is designed to boost tourism in Perak, particularly in support of the Visit Perak Year 2024 campaign. The event will also spotlight the five core elements of Hip-Hop MCing, B-boying, DJing, Graffiti, and Knowledge while marking the genre’s 50-year anniversary and its role in bringing together Malaysia’s diverse communities.
