“MUZIK POP MALAYSIA (1975-1985) : MERAIKAN KEPELBAGAIAN” was the theme brought forward during the fifth edition of the Ipoh Music Symposium (IMS) held from 6-8 October.
POP 60an
The fourth edition of the Ipoh Music Symposium (IMS) took place from October 21st to 23rd, 2022. The symposium focused on the theme “Pop 60an: Emulasi, Revolusi & Legaso”, exploring the vibrant music scenes of the 1960s in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.
NUSANTARA
The third edition of the Ipoh Music Symposium took place on 1st to 3rd October, 2021. The theme for the event was “Nusantara Music: Tracing Tradition and Contemporary”.
ROCK KAPAK
The second edition of the Ipoh Music Symposium (IMS) was held from 9th to 11th October 2020 in collaboration with the arts collective Gerakan Seni Ipoh (Ipoh Arts Movement) under the theme “ROCK KAPAK”.
