HERRI HAMID – BITTERSWEET
In the first episode of Portcast, we have a conversation with Herri Hamid, a prominent figure in the Perak music scene and a member of the renowned indie band Bittersweet. Herri discusses his personal journey, the evolution of Bittersweet, the challenges they have encountered, and his vision for the future of music in Perak.

In episode 3 of Portcast, we feature Mohd Yusop Najmi bin Othman, also affectionately known as Abah. He currently serves as the Deputy President of the Perak State Cultural Council and is the recipient of the Perak State Cultural Arts Award. Abah started his singing career at the age of 10 in 1958.

Renowned for their captivating performances, they are lovingly referred to as the “under-the-tent entertainers” by their fans. UBS Band has amassed a dedicated following with their distinct ‘dangdut-rock’ style and enthralling live shows.
